David Bowen

David Bowen Senior consultant, Bowen Craggs & Co

David Bowen is senior consultant for Bowen Craggs & Co. He founded the London-based publishing and consultancy company Net Profit in 1996, and his present company in 2002.

He was industrial editor of the Independent on Sunday for seven years, as well as energy and business features editor of The Independent. Named two times as national newspaper industrial journalist of the year, Bowen has written a twice-monthly column on websites in the Financial Times since 1998 (now on ft.com).

In 2004 he was included among the 100 most influential Britons in the Internet's first decade. He has been following the online world since 1993, when he wrote a book called 'Multimedia – Now and down the line', which accurately predicted many developments. It contained the word 'internet' only once, however.

Gerard Walsh

Gerald Walsh Head of Web & CRM, Schroders

Schroders is an international investment manager with over £113 billion under management invested by clients in more than 650 funds.

Gerard Walsh joined Schroder Investment Management Ltd in 2005 from an international telecommunications company, where he was Head of Change Management and a member of the Senior Management Committee of the Business Telecoms Division. Prior to that role, Gerard was a consultant with both Accenture and Deloitte in London, and he started his career at Mobil Oil in New Zealand before moving to the UK in 1999.

Gerard has two distinct but complementary roles at Schroders:

  • Managing the teams responsible for web, intranet and CRM platforms, and
  • initiation, implementation and delivery of client-facing strategic projects in Distribution, client services and complex product development

Gerard has a BA in English Literature from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand and an MBA earned jointly at Victoria University and SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy,

Simon Lande

Simon Lande CEO, Magus
 

Simon is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Magus.

As CEO, Simon is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, and also has a client-facing role across a number of major accounts.

Before founding Magus, Simon was a research scientist, completing a PhD in biochemistry at Imperial College London. Reflecting his origins, Simon continues to stay very close to the product development process, which defines the innovative heart of Magus.
