Nick Slowe

As IT director for the Institution of Engineering and Technology Nick's focus is on integrating information, people and technologies to create a knowledge network that connects engineers across the globe.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology is one of the world's leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community. The IET has more than 150,000 members in 127 countries and offices in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. The IET provides a global knowledge network to facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote the positive role of science, engineering and technology in the world.
Nick has over 20 years of experience in driving business change through the implementation of information technologies. He worked for Anglian water for 14 years and subsequently for Telewest broadband for 3 years before joining the IET in 2003 as its first Director of IT.
Deborah Fitzgerald
Marketing Director, Interbrand
Deborah is Interbrand's Marketing Director. Her focus is on building Interbrand's UK client base and ensuring that the company's world leading reputation is maintained and developed.
Passionate about brand as a business philosophy and organising principle, Deborah has broad consultancy skills gleaned over fifteen years experience as a senior marketing and communications professional.
Deborah began her career in communications consultancy and then moved client side to work in retail. She joined Interbrand from the Design Council where she was Marketing, Media and Communications Director. Prior to that she held senior posts at Liberty Retail plc, Landor, Universal and Viacom.
Deborah regularly comments in the media on brand and marketing strategy and was a regular guest on BBC 4 culture and media show 'The Desk'.
Deborah has an MA joint honours degree in English Literature and Theology from St Andrews University. She is a member of the Marketing Society and the Institute of Directors and a long standing trustee of Crusaid, the charity caring for those affected by HIV and Aids.
Simon Lande

Simon is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Magus.
As CEO, Simon is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, and also has a client-facing role across a number of major accounts.
Before founding Magus, Simon was a research scientist, completing a PhD in biochemistry at Imperial College London. Reflecting his origins, Simon continues to stay very close to the product development process, which defines the innovative heart of Magus.
Nicola Thompson
Head of Standards Services,

Nicola is Head of Standards Services at Magus, and leads the company's ActiveStandards™ and consultancy divisions.
Nicola has been immersed in web technologies, and the effective delivery of information online since 1995. She has advised a wide range of blue-chip clients on their online strategy and on website standards, including: Unilever, GlaxoSmithKline, The Institution of Engineering and Technology, GE Healthcare, Smith & Nephew, and Standard Life. She was a key technical contributor to PAS 124.
Nicola has a degree in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College, where she studied alongside many of the bright lights of the Brit Art generation. Her art background is reflected in her longstanding passion for interface and information design.
