Growing up with the web

2006

Magus launches ActiveStandards, a pioneering brand standards compliance solution for companies with multiple websites.

2005

Magus expands its RemoteSearch division with the launch of its new search portal solution.

 

Magus embraces Web 2.0, incorporating the latest collaborative internet technologies within its solutions.

2004

Magus relocates to larger premises in central London.

 

Working closely with The British Library, Magus helps launch the UK Web Archive, a digital archive of cultural and scientific material.

2003

Magus acquires UK software company Vrisko.

 

Vrisko's flagship product, NewsTracker, delivers information from proprietary sources (LexisNexis, Factiva) and compliments Magus's portfolio of web-based current awareness solutions.

 

The acquisition accelerates Magus's penetration of the legal and professional services sectors.

2002

Magus builds on its extensive experience of search and retrieval technology in the corporate market with the development of CrucialInformation, a sophisticated web-based alerting application.

 

The Institution of Electrical Engineers is one the first clients to deploy Magus's powerful alerting technology.

2001

Magus collaborates with many of its RemoteSearch clients on a range of bespoke web-based projects, including corporate website and intranet development.

 

Magus services move to a dedicated data centre, hosted at COLT - one of Europe's premium co-location facilities.

1999

Magus's international client base continues to grow, with major corporations throughout the UK, US and Europe using Magus's RemoteSearch solutions to manage their group web presence.

 

Clients include Shell, Smith & Nephew, GlaxoSmithKline and Alstom.

1998

A growing international client base looks to Magus to help develop search technology to link multiple websites and add value to their global presence.

 

Drawing on its extensive web and portal experience, Magus develops RemoteSearch, a ground-breaking multi- site search engine for enterprise websites.

1997

Building on the success of its web development projects, Magus repositions itself to focus exclusively on internet technology.

1996

Magus wins corporate website clients on both sides of the Atlantic.

1995

Magus expands its activities to other sectors and carries out extensive market intelligence work for the European Commission.

 

To make the findings available to a wider audience, Magus collaborates with the European Commission on a web portal - its first web development project.

1993

Magus is founded in London by Simon Lande, as a market research company for the semiconductor industry.
